About
I assemble artworks from interactive contemporary technologies, found objects and traditional artistic media. My work is based in rural environments and examines technologies in human and nonhuman entanglements.
I always collaborate, most recently working with lichen, artists, epidemiologists, historians, salmon and fungi. As part of my practice I organise and run collaborative projects.
My work considers embedded colonial bias in technologies, and how these biases affect behaviours. I learn from other-than-human colleagues how to co-exist in the world, and have a deeply embedded relationship with place, land and environment that informs my technological artistic practice. I write computer programs, wire electronics and sensors, build spaces from timber and found materials, and use video, photography, paint and drawing in my work.
