About
Catherine Richards is a visual artist and professor working in old and new media. She uses installations and participatory strategies to reflect on the idea of technological impact in the body and often uses transparency and electricity as an evident metaphor of connectivity. Her works have been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts; AT&T Canada; The Claudia De Hueck Fellowship in Art and Science at the National Gallery of Canada; the Daniel Langlois Foundation for Art, Science and Technology, the University of Ottawa. She is currently Professor in the Department of Visual Arts at University of Ottawa.
