This film shows a monochrome landscape beneath a strip of sky. At first barely perceptible, a subtle movement is noted throughout the peaked contours of the waves—an organic contraction and expansion of a mountain-like skin. It is with the congealed heaviness and force of lava that this mass of water flows through the image. The film was recorded by a high-speed camera and documents the pitch of a giant wave during a storm—capturing a few seconds in a small segment of the ocean.
