SIMONE MICHELIN 25-05-2021
Work-in-progress - mixed media, hybrid reality - performance, video, web site.
The website is an online documentation of the live actions; it is open to participation by way of a questionnaire that inquires about art, ethics and politics. It also parodies the use of the Internet as a catalogue and an archive, serving the free market and the industry of communications.
A database doc-fiction film for cyberspace – The Saintly One is a hybrid narrative between the documentary, the reality show, the catalog or electronic publication and the net art. The appearance and operation of the site, which are determined by the site’s content, are also the result of a ‘shelf software’ and a Brazilian optic-aesthetic, in this case, baroque, conceptual and circumstantial. The site does not explore anything in the web except its potential as a big catalog of accessible products: the database itself - images; slogans; campaign gadgets; audio files, interviews; documented events; questionnaire answers; comments and messages from the internet public.
