Heartscapes is an immersive virtual environment that offers interactions into a simulated virtual heart. It is a place for the body totally involved in a sensation of a dissolution of its corporeal boundaries, melt up with the environment. The artistic work uses the NTAV UCS PC CAVE, a VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) immersive environment supported by commodity bades clusters of low cost PCs that can be or not connected to the internet. These reconfigurable immersive cube with multiprojections is supported by a cluster with 04 computing units based on networks of low cost PCs and 04 stereoscopic projection. By interacting with interfaces we are immersed in the virtual landscape simulating heart scenes. We get to the heart, and have a chat with it. There is the possibilty for mutations of form in real time to be commanded by heartbeats captured by an interface that sends signals from the heart and by capturing motion. Sound waves enter the computer parallel and modify the environment because they are converted into computing paradigms. Images and sounds of a heart mix noises of indigenous rituals, noises of natural environments, among other sound data. Mutations of form in real time are commanded by capture motion and heartbeats captured by an interface that sends signals from the participant´s heart. The interactivity of biological signals is triggered by the heartbeat frequency. In all possible situations the aesthetic appeal takes place through the immersions into the enviroment simulating the human body´s inner space, as dreamlike spaces that go back to powers to act in living organism.
